The Bannatyne Group regularly supports Operation Smile by running fundraising events and taking part in our annual Smile Week campaign, which sees colleagues and members raising money through spin-a-thons, challenges and competitions.
Since 2011, Duncan Bannatyne and The Bannatyne Group have generously donated in excess of £370,000 to help fund Operation Smile’s work.
Duncan Bannatyne himself has joined us for four medical missions, helping to treat hundreds of children living with a cleft condition.
In 2017, five of the Bannatyne Group Directors cycled the length of the UK, 762 miles from Inverness to Eastbourne, raising a phenomenal £35,000 in a feat they named Tour de Bannatyne.

Operation Smile is an amazing charity that does vital work transforming the lives of children born with cleft conditions. On several occasions I have seen for myself the massive difference Operation Smile makes, allowing these youngsters, who were simply born with a facial deformity through no fault of their own, to live a normal life. It’s fantastic to see the children a few months later, once they have recovered from their surgery – they simply can’t stop smiling!
